During the registration process, if you ordered UMNSC Fan Gear Items (sweatshirts, baseball hats, blankets, water bottles, or travel mugs), please be aware that these items will not be shipped to you. If the child is registered for a Fall 2011 IM team, any item not already picked up will be brought to the child’s first practice. If you ordered items and your child/children is not registered for an Intramural team, please email Virginia Manning at umnscregistrar@aol.com to arrange for pick-up.

If your child is interested in trying out for a travel team, please read the following:
- The travel program is a year round program but not all of our travel teams play in the spring. Teams are picked based on tryouts in the spring for the fall season and subsequent spring season. Therefore, the kids playing on teams this spring were selected during tryouts last spring. By registering early, registrants are assured that they will be notified by e-mail of pending tryouts.
Fall 2011 Intramural Program
Online registration for the Fall 2011 Intramural Season has closed. However, there are still a few openings on select teams. If you would like to register your child, please contact Virginia Manning at umnscregistrar@aol.com to see if there is a spot for your child on the team. The 2011 IM registration fee is $145 per player, which covers weekly IM games and practices (of which several will be lead by our Council Rock North Varsity Soccer trainers) and the team uniform.
Intramural teams are formed in August and you should be contacted by a coach in late August. The IM games will start the first weekend after Labor Day. If you do not hear from a coach by Labor Day, please send an email to the club at umnscregistrar@aol.com.
During the registration process, each family will be asked to select their volunteer commitment for the UMNSC. The UMNSC is a small but ambitious club. Our goal is to offer the best training for our players in a fun environment that encourages a love of the game. We invest our resources in trainers to optimize practices, training courses and training tools to assist our volunteer coaches, and equipment for field improvement. This year the club hired Gavin Flannigan, Director of Coaching and Player Development, to develop curriculum for our IM coaches, which offer suggestions and ideas on how to run practices to develop and improve age-appropriate skills.
We depend on our family volunteers to manage many of our club responsibilities. Parents/ guardians may choose from the following commitments: coach, assistant coach, team manager, age group coordinator, field maintenance, fund-raising, fan gear sales, photo coordinator, awards contact, and uniform contact. Descriptions of these commitments can be found at the end of this email and on the website UMNSC.org.
The UMNSC understands that some families are not able to volunteer their time. In this case, we offer a volunteer-opt-out option. After reading the descriptions, if you believe your family will not be able to support the club through one of these roles, please select the opt-out option. We need every family to support the club. Please choose carefully as the UMNSC Board of Directors, coaches, children and parents are all counting on everyone’s help.
In an attempt to raise money for the club, the UMNSC will be selling fan gear items. UMNSC water bottles, travel mugs, blankets, sweatshirts and baseball hats may be purchased during the registration process. Several options for pick-up are available.
Lastly, if you are registering your child for Intramural soccer, we ask that you set aside September 24th on your calendar. On 9/24, we have scheduled our Intramural Photo Day.
Remember, please register by June 30, 2011 to take advantage of the large family discount and to avoid late fees.

Age-Group Coordinator - works with IM coordinators to set up teams and act as coaches’ liaison
Coach - sets practice schedule, leads practices and games
Asst Coach - attends practices and games and assists coach where needed
Team Manager - assists coach (e.g., weather-related team notifications, snacks, photo day info)
Field Maintenance - participates in field set up dates on 8/23 and 8/25/11 from 6-8pm at SFE.
Fundraising - assists the Vice President of Fundraising in tasks as assigned
Photo Coordinator - coordinates schedules & attends photo day on 9/24/11 from 7:30am - 1pm
Fan Gear Sales - assists the V.P. of Fundraising in tasks as assigned as related to Fan Gear Sales
Awards Contact - orders and transports end of year award items for our players
Uniform Contact - orders and distributes uniforms to our teams

Items ordered online during the registration process will not be mailed to you.
Items can picked up at:
- Washington Crossing Park on Tuesday 7/5 and Monday 7/18 at 12 Noon (after UMNSC Camp)
- In Newtown, PA by appointment, the week of July 25th by contacting Virginia Manning at umnscregistrar@aol.com
- Any item not picked up will be brought to the child’s first practice.
