The focus of the UMNSC Skills Development Program is on fun and skills development. The program is intended to complement intramural soccer, with the plan that interested players will move on to travel soccer in the future. The first 45 minutes of each session is focused on skills development with a professional trainer from Total Soccer. The final 15-20 minutes is scrimmage time.
Multiple sessions are offered each week from September through the first week of November and then again from late March through May. Participating players should try to attend one session per week. If the player/family wants to attend a second training session per week that is encouraged as long as the kids are having fun. Players should bring a soccer ball to all sessions.
The program is open to all 7 and 8 year old players that are registered with UMNSC. The cost of the program is $100 per season (this is in addition to UMNSC intramural fees).
