Patriots Win U-10 Championship
at 24th Hempfield Classic!

The Patriots defeated tough competition to win their division at the Hempfield Classic Tournament in Lancaster, PA.

The Patriots won their first game 4-1 on Saturday morning against the Central Delaware Dynamos. The teams were evenly matched in the first half, but the Patriots improved throughout and steadily pulled ahead for the win.

In the Saturday afternoon game, the Patriots jumped out to a 2-0 lead. A very determined opponent, the Centre Force, managed to tie the game 2-2 for a hard-fought tie.

Sunday morning saw the Patriots demonstrate solid play for the entire game to defeat the Donegal Thunder and qualify for the division Championship Game.

The Patriots’ opponent, the Manheim Township Turbos, had won all three of their games in the tournament. After a back and forth game, the Patriots found themselves down 1-2 with only minutes to score. The team applied strong offensive pressure to tie the game as time expired. The division title was decided in a shootout where the Patriots emerged victorious.

Congratulations to the team and coaches on strong offensive and defensive play, great sportsmanship, and the "never give up" attitude that lead to this weekend’s championship.
